Property Improvement Project Status - September 21, 2022


On September 18, 2022, the Pelican Beach Resort began undergoing a waterproofing process on the exterior of the building. A comprehensive schedule has been prepared to assure minimal impact to guests and owners. The schedule calls for work to be focused on specific portions of the building at one time. There will be times when there may be temporary closures to condominium balconies, areas of the grounds and amenities. Please be assured, at the times that it does, there will always be one of the two feature outdoor pools open for guests to enjoy. We will continue to update this message as advances are made in the project.

Pelican Beach Management has no control of the timetable and locations of work. That is within the control of the Pelican Beach Homeowners Association. Additionally, we do not have any control on Vrbo or other management company reservations. Guests will need to contact them for any advice or questions.

For our guests, we are the largest management company with vacation rentals at Pelican Beach, we have the inventory when available and ability to move guests to less affected parts of Pelican Beach or to the Terrace at Pelican Beach. Thus, guests of Pelican Beach Management can continue to book with confidence that we will recommend and place guests in condominiums with the least impact to this project.

The current schedule (as of 9/22/2022) is for the following portions of the building to be affected:


Sept. 19 to Nov. 11: Units with the ending number -6 to -11

Oct. 21 to Nov. 23: Units with the ending number -01 (east side) and units with the ending numbers -12 to -14

Nov. 24 to Dec. 27: Units with the ending numbers -15 to -18

Dec. 28 to Jan. 30: Units with the ending numbers -01 (south/Gulf side), -02 to -06

What do I need to bring?

All the important things, such as your tennis racquet, beach towels, a good book, other beach items and, of course, plenty of suntan lotions! Linens are provided for every condominium and all units have fully-equipped kitchens. many units have a washer and dryer and there are laundry facilities located on the property.

What items should I leave at home?

Please, no beach tents or large coolers for the beach and pool area. Both take up large areas of space and diminish the enjoyment of others around you. In addition, please leave your grills at home. The resort provides grilling equipment near the pool areas of both properties.

Are pets allowed?

Pets are not allowed at the Resorts of Pelican Beach. Please, no exceptions. There are a number of pet kennels located nearby if you must bring your pet to the Destin area.

Is there a minimum age to rent a condominium at the Resorts of Pelican Beach?

We will not rent to vacationing students or singles under the age of 25 unless accompanied by a parent or adult guardian.

Is high-speed Internet available?

Absolutely! Every Pelican Beach Management unit offers free high-speed Internet access. In addition, Wi-Fi is available in the lobby, pool deck, and conference center areas for those who want to "keep up" while enjoying the resort amenities. Please be advised that sand and surf may not be agreeable with your laptop!

How many people are allowed to stay in a condominium?

Only 6 persons will be allowed to register in a one or two-bedroom condominium unit and only 8 persons in a three-bedroom unit. Excessive numbers of occupants can lead to unsafe conditions as well as create hardships on all guests of the resort from noise and overcrowding amenities. In addition to limits noted above, there must be one adult for every three children under the age of 25 in the party. Children must accompany parents to the registration desk.

No Smoking Rule

All use of any tobacco product involving smoking, burning, or combustion of tobacco is strictly prohibited on any of the limited common element patios and balconies, and on all of the common elements of the condominium lying within the footprint of the condominium building, including all walkways in front of units, the elevator foyers, all lobbies, all elevators, the indoor pool, all gym facilities, all public restrooms and all conference rooms.

Smoking will continue to be allowed in all common areas outside of the building footprint including, but not limited to, outdoor pool areas, pool decks, sun decks, outdoor grill and lawn areas, roadways, parking areas, beach crossovers, the beach, and the Tiki bar area. Smoking of non-tobacco products which are harmful to the health, safety, and welfare of the unit owners is also strictly prohibited in the above designated areas.

This prohibition also extends to the use of electronic cigarettes, including “vaping” or the inhaling of vapors, including tobacco-free vapors, from a personal vaporizer device.

Please note, the prohibition on smoking, against the use of any lighted or burning tobacco or non-tobacco product, and against “vaping,” extends to all unit owners as well as their occupants, family, guests, invitees, lessees and all others who are present on any portion of the common elements or limited common element balconies of Pelican Beach Resort Condominium.

This rule does not prohibit an owner from allowing or disallowing smoking within the owner’s personal unit.
